Helicopter Pilot
« on: 25 May 2003, 02:58:12 »
Since everyone complains about the poor helo pilots in OFP (they are terrible pilots), why not have missions where you are a helo pilot.  You could be tasked to 160 SOAR and fly the helo's they fly.  There are plenty of different choppers that they fly already made so it wouldn't be too hard to get addons.  What do you think??

Good idea, but flying in a helo in OFP is... boring.
But a well scripted mission like.. hmmn... CSAR ... why not.

the MH-60 and the Pavehawk are 2 different choppers. MH-60 is the 160th SOAR operated blackhawk... whilst the Pavehawk is the USAF operated blackhawk... which is named the pavehawk because it is USAF and not ARMY. The navy name their blackhawks, Seahawks.

not sure which one you are talking about. CSAR is generally performed by pavehawks... MH-60's are spec ops.

well... mainly for tranpsorting the spec ops who will carry out the CSAR... airforce CSAR will land and pick up etc.

i think its not too far off... but they don't release dates so u'll have to wait and see.

Hey I got a idea for a helo plot.  How about making a really nice Blackhawk down mission, with lots of details and make it look realistic too, and lets say you're the one who gets shot down, you're Chris "Elvis" Wolcott and you die :)

Ok, guys. In my opinion CSAR are fine but they are better if player take a role of downed pilot. You prabobly knew Iceal Hambelton or Scott O'Grady stories. Maby this kind of CSAR mission will be more intresting than only flying for ex. Pave Hawk. Whats your opinion???

This is easily the most idiotic and least thought-out post I've seen on any board.  Since you're only 16 (and you certainly act it), I'll give you some advice.

Mr. Wolcott was a US soldier that put everything on the line for you and I.  Show him and those like him, dead or alive, the respect they have earned.

Use your head next time.
