Will you be making variants of the Landy, LiltMon? Just wondering... I'd love to see a Marcrolon armoured Landy or the Northern-Ireland styled ones, with everything stripped off (doors, windscreens, tailgates etcs)    ;D

I can't wait for some good British stuff to come out- Uncle Sam's boys don't cut the mustard for me, I'm afraid. Just give me a gympi and a few belts and tuck a Browning down the front of me pants and I'll sort out those red commie b*****ds  :D

No offence to any commies, natch.

Well that's the plan Kooky, just gotta get to grips with O2 first, talking of which can anyone recommend a tutorial that explains all the LODs n stuff, oh and does anyone have a working link to any of the demo models so I can have a look at them for reference?

Got me hands on the demo models and I beleive I may be approaching a moment of clarity with Oxygen, managed to get a driver proxy loaded last night and found I need to resize the model just a bit - the guy's head was sticking out of the roof  :D

Thanks DeadMeat, I'll see what me and a 24 pack of Stella can come up with tonight  ;D
Just one question at the moment though with regards to the LODs, my main model is somewhere in the region of 1300-1400 thingamajigs (sorry the name escapes me at the moment, I think it's time I went home my head is cooked)
how much do you reckon I should drop it for the lower details LODs? I.E. LOD 2 ~900-1000, LOD 3 ~700-800

Well, SelectThis (God of ofp editing) recons that lod 1 (0.750 or something like that) can have up to 4500 polys, LOD 2 - 3000 polys, LOD 3 - 1000 polys, LOD 4 - 300 polys, LOD 5 - 100 polys (polys being shor for polygons)

So, you've got plenty of poly's to play with mate ;) and your estimates are about right.

btw, i'd love to help you with your models, so if the Stella can't, i'll be here tomorrow ;)

Exellenté, I cant beleive I actually forgot "polygons", after I posted that I went out had a walk around town and then it came back to me, been doing an on-line training course, bloody thing had me designing networks and domain trees and stuff, just what I need on a Friday! And now to top it off I gotta write some fiction on what I've been doing this week, since I cant very well put, messed about with server, broke server, fixed server, checked OFPEC forums, stared out of window, used asset management software to look for mp3s on other people's machines and copy them if they are any good, spent an hour wandering round the building carry 5m of rj45 cable, a 10/100 network card and a screwdriver, spent afternoon on SurfControl laughing at the sites people are accessing  ;D
