As far as my knowledge goes the SA80 wasnt in service until 89 but when my dad was in the army i think that was in 84 or 85 they were testing it in Colombia or somehere around there.

Can't remember who was asking but,

14/20th were in Munster in 1990 and went to the Gulf as part of 4(UK) Armd Brigade. One Squadron (I think it was C) were at the time the Berlin Armoured Squadron. When they all got back from the Gulf I think they pretty much amalgamated(or however the hell it's spelt) straight away.

Stally would be great to see, but Bedfords that don't go more than about 30 miles an hour when there's more than 1 degree of incline would be fun.

SA80 began to be issued in late 1985/early86 but only to units in Northern Ireland. It's first kill wasn't much later. Apparently the IRA complained that giving the Squaddies such an accurate rifle "just wasn't fair". SLR didn't leave service until at least 1993, would have been around longer if half the Armed Forces hadn't been laid off by the Tories.

Cheers Smudge

Thanks Smudge  :). My old man was a tankie in the 14/20th but he left in the 70's.
Well, I guess we'll stick with the good old SLR, eh cplme? Just a quick mod job, would you say? New sound maybe...

Notice that I'm not making the addons, that's why i make it sound soooooo easy, lol  ;D

and our site's up, thanks to the boy wonder cplme  :D

Oh, and dude, it's 86.... but no matter, I'll just delete all references to 86 in my stuff and put 85 there instead, ;D

It's easier that way
