So here is the thing. I used to script in OFP but that was over 4 years ago.
On my old PC I was working on a mission that I have to say I think was simpler in construction but surpassed all the Dynamic CTI style missions. Now I finally got Arma... (I know outdated again, I cant run Arma 2!) But my old PC with all the info on it blew up!
Now I stupidly want to rebuild it for Arma... So I am appealing for help. Maybe to make this into a multiplayer.

GDCE and other CTI's are basically a few classic stlye missions randomly generated onto the background of an island. My mission will be a background of a war fought by the AI.
The player is a spec op unit that can operate independent inside that war but also help the war effort if they wish.
The spwan scripts I wrote for OFP were so much more simple than DAC as a management of resources. There were a few global variables that set numbers of units for the AI. ETC the enemy only get 20 transport trucks if you find and destroy enough convoys they the enemy start running out of trucks.
Instead of you getting a mission to destroy a convoy. if any of your units, recon, air infantry etc spot enemy it becomes a spotted marker on the map and you can choose to go find and destroy it if you want! that way it is an open mission with realistic military resources rather than a series of randomly generated 'classic' sp missions

Right now all I have done is rewritten the insertion script which was initally based on GDCE template. However, for my OFP mission I had fast rope insertions so it got rid of the black out/black in screen at the point of insertion. I am having some problems recreating the fast rope in Arma.
My only problem now is I cant write scripts for S%$£ anymore!!!

At the moment I am looking to see if it is possible to implement already written scripts such as GL3 to build this mission. however, my initial idea was to make the mission simple and easy to play with as few addons as possible.
