If you could have a look and see if there is anything needs doing
before i release it or just your thoughts.

Tested on a Deadicated Server 1.04

THIS IS A BattleField2 STYLE MISSION
It is Multiplay with 24 spots. More can be added easly.
Just copy the ones there and make them playable.

There are 10 bases to take over "Simple"..

Features --

Respawn
------- The respawn menu has camera and map views,
You can locate and follow a team mate in either map or camera mode
while you are dead,
Camera mode has different views and angles.
Map has Zoom mode.
If your side owns a base you can select to respawn there.
You can change your weapons layout while in the respawn Screen.

Game Play
--------- You can have the same amount of fun with one or many
players, The AI can do almost everything a Player can do Sometimes Better.
AI will use eveything on the map, All vehicles and Weapons they will also
fill the Gunner spots and cargo spots of a vehicle whether it is used by an
AI or Player.
They all look after themselves and will complete the mission without any help.
But its nice to have support .

Get to a base and stand close to it until the flag changes.
The Flag will not change if there is any Enemy close.
If you need a Gunner or Crew for your Vehicle. Just pull up near an AI thats on foot
and he will get in filling the Gunners spot first.
Feel free to jump in a AI's vehicle as a gunner as they already know what to do.

As you kill off the AI the Game will Spawn more to keep the selected amount on the island.
You select how many AI to be on each side in the Parameters menu.
You can also select thier skill level , Where they spawn from , How many vehicles spawn at each base. and if the Vehicles can respawn.
Time of day can be selected also.

Most USA and Russia Vehicles are in this mission.
Vehicles will respawn when they can no longer be used.

If you take over base 4 and base 5 you will also have planes at the airport while you
own those bases.
There is always intense action happening on the island somewhere.
The game play can change as each base is won or lost.
It is good for RAMBO/SNIPER/ACTION or STRATEGIC Team Game play.

Dont let the size of the file fool you. The mission packs alot into it.

Ok played the mission tonight, gave it a quick try with just two people, but according to the description I should be able to do that and play against the AI.

Briefing

Ok I thought the notes section could be layed out better and easier to read. You could break up some of that text into different sections like credits, objectives, AI behavior. Maybe create a Credits section move some info about your web site into that section.

A picture would be nice. :)

I was wondering if the tasks could be named differently. AS you have it, the tasks are all set to Take Base #, I wonder if you changed it to say, Base 1 taken, then you switch all those tasks to failed if the enemy takes them over.  Its fine as is, I just tend to be picky. :)

Great use of the new parameters options, how about a no grass option? heh

Mission
I thought the respawn interface looked crappy. It could use a face lift. I liked the option to switch from map to camera. The buttons for the bases could be the color of the controlling team.



Bugs

Had a marker error which said no unit.
error No unit is who killed you.

I thought that the You're dead message while in the respawn wasn't a fitting message.

The message that  says  Name is who killed you. Should be something like Name has killed you.

Overall great mission.

I thought the gameplay was pretty good. The battle for bases was a struggle especially when you got in close to the east base. I also thought the some of the bases should have some hmmmv's so that you weren't walking a long ways. Even if they were unarmed vehicles. Over all it was surprisingly fun.

Thanks for your comments
 after this has been tested more and i rewrite it i will have the arrays for the vehicles in a seperat file so it will be easy to add addons , i can add a no grass to the Parameters menu and i do think that is a good idea.. also the such and such killed you i will change that to say only if a player kills you, that should fix the error no unit thing. .
I have to find out why the ai are staying in the vehicles after they are dead ??? maybe that will fix itself when i rewrite it. hope so.

all the breifing ect will be rewritten for the final release just for now it just info for testers.

i do like the death menu and it was a headace to get it to do what it can. i dont think there are many scripts that can do nearly as much or as good.i will try and add a simple script file so you can change the words and action of the buttons ect.

 i will be making all aspects of the mission seperate packs , the get in vehicles for the AI - the death menu - the AI move - so they can be added to any mission.

This is usuaslly from performing a 'name unit' on a dead unit. Check to see if the unit is alive first before performing name.

The menu is ok... its just that the button color is ugly. the buttons are big and blocky. Try to make it look a bit more sexy. ;)

Edit: also there seems like theres a big delay when you actually do click the button. when you click he button maybe make the rest of the buttons locked or greyed out.

Added in this version
---------------------
Heal Script -- If you can not walk a player can heal you by comming within 1 meter of you.
Respawn Script -- If you are dead a player can respawn you to where you died by comming within 1 meter of you.

AirSupport -- To make it that little harder to win i added Air Support for the side that has lost 7 bases
Planes will come in and destroy as much of the winning side then leave, this will happen
every time a base is taken over 7 bases.



Parameters menu

Set time of day
Set the AI units Skill Level
Set the amount of AI units
Set the mission not to end
Set the amount of vehicles per Base

Set the Spawn points for the AI units

Game Ends : if you want a never ending mission or not -- "Yes","No"

Vehicles per Base : amount of vehicles per Base -- "0","1","2","3","4","Random 0-4 Vehicles"

Respawn Vehicles : vehicles to respawn or not -- "No Respawn","Yes Respawn"

AI Spawn Position : Spawn points for the AI units -- "Both Airfield & Base","Base Only","Airfield Only"

Grass Options : "No Grass", "Medium Grass", "Normal Grass"

AI Side : AI amount per side -- "Both East & West AI","Only East AI","Only West AI","No AI","More East AI","More West

AI"

QuickStart Mission : populates all the bases randomly 5 per side -- "Yes","No"

Minefields : Puts Minefields around the bases, you can only trigger enemy mines -- "Yes","No","Random"

Player Markers : have player names show on the main map -- "Yes","No"

Well its done 3 months in the making and i wish to thank all the people that helped me test the missions, THANKYOU ALL

This is a Battlefield2 style mission and it is coop / cti
there are 2 missions 1 for each island

YOU MAY EDIT THIS MISSION TO YOUR LIKING
ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU GIVE CREDIT TO ZoneKiller
AND TO LEAVE THE BattleField2 AT THE BEGINNING
OF THE MISSION NAME AS IT IS THE STYLE OF MISSION

Game Play

Had a run through last night. Its working well and I love that now the buttons work! One thing that we did notice was that the air battle going on over head  was much fiercer then the previous version. I wondered if you had considered adding a option for this?

Also I didn't like the inital startup hint showing the server parameters. I think it would be much cleaner if it were in the notes section. You can do this dynamically now.

Still overall a great mission that scales nicely even for 1 and 2 players.

1/
All vehicle arrays and soldier arrays in 1 script called funny enough Arrays.sqf

2/
now you can remove some bases ,well you would not want to remove all of them. so now you can have only 3 bases if you want instead of 10. and also some vehicle spot triggers , so if you wanted to have 2 vehicles at one base and four at the next you just keep the parameter set for 4
but it will only put a vehicle there if there is a trigger. all this is done in the mission editor. the scripts will automaticly adjust to the new settings. if you add stuff. im sorry but you will have to script that your yourself.

3/
The parameters hint is now in the menu , Looks much better.

4/
Made into a 48 player mission

5/
Made it so you can recute AI just get close to them and a action appears to get them to join you
They will only stay in your group while there within 100 meters of you and while not in a vehicle , you cant recute leaders or AI in vehicles.

I used the zip in the first post...Not sure if thats the correct one or not. We didn't see any updates in the briefing. And because yo don't use any version numbers it makes it very difficult to know if we are running in the most recent mission. Please use version numbers in both the mission title and the file name.

We played the cheranaus mission, and we felt the fun had gone out of the mission. We moved from base to base barely seeing anything. I think we completed the map with like only 1 or 2 kills each.  So if I were you I would  create yet another mission with the bases much closer in proximity.

Did you try the utes mission

did the params setting show up as a hint or was it in the map menu
If it was in the map menu you got the right one.

as for the action , but sorry sometimes the mission will be quiet sometimes not.
its dynamic so next time you may be getting kicked all over the place .

change the settings maybe , add more men   less vehicles, have quickstart on, try it off, give one side the advantage by adding more east then play on west , thats what the options are there for to set the mission to play like you want it to ,



the Utes mission is always good for a full on conflict.

The problem I think with the bigger distances is that its just not suitable for 1 or 2 players you really need to have more players. I think you got the distances right on the uetes map its fun almost everytime you play weither its 1 or 2 or 3 or 10 players.

Sometimes we have played the large map and got kicked around all over the place
but i like utes better for action

the 2 missions are to be edited to suite one tastes, some one will do it well and post it up i hope.
im looking forward to ppl's versions and see how different they turnout.


Im making a new mission , a little the same but alot different, its called "Living Island"
This one will have all sides including Civilians "Some will be suicide bombers and terrorists"

all the AI will go into all the buildings during the mission and check out the rooms.

so far there is no set mission its just a live island , AI walk around and interact , shoot and kill.

So far its working well
if you want a sneek peek at it join my server    [ZDS] zonekillers test server   if its running.

and yes to can even pickup girls and take them for a motorbike ride :)
