Let me guess: the mission is not PBOed but in its own directory and the directory name of the mission contains more than one dot? If so, read on:
ArmA (and probably OFP, too) uses the dots in the directory names to specify the island where the mission takes place (missionname.island
). If you have a mission like foobar_v0.8.15.Sara
ArmA will search for the island "8
" (because that's what's between the second and the third dot in the name). If you try to load this mission you will get the following error: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgWorlds.8'.
The solution is simple: remove the additional dots (e.g. foobar.Sara
)!Thanks to Spooner for putting dots in his mission names and to Sysinternals for the magnificent ProcMon!
