So - where are we going to move LCD to? I rekon that Trosky would be a good place. Its remote, and in the hills, so it would make a russian rescue attempt very dramatic. Or maybe Morkopsy? That has very large flat grounds out the front.

...Meanwhile, the APC with Djackl navagating was about to enter grid Co-ords C7. (south-west of Vidlakov).

Djackl: Hey, it looks like were here!
Driver: Yeah, but weve been at sea for 4 days!
Djackl: So!? Were about to enter Lipany soon.
Driver: Hey... if thats Lipany ahead of us, I'll eat my hat!...

btw, is there a base of any sort at Vidlakov?

We need to decide if the American's are going to move him or not... maybe the rescue attempt would be when he is getting ready to be transported.... the whole thing about this idea is we all post a bit of the story once at a time, and it unfolds itself...

Hmm, what about they move LCD in a convoy, with 2 M2A2s, 2 5T truck, 2 Jeep with MG... Youknow a normal guarded convoy?

If the east attacked them, they would have to make sure not to kill LCD :P

I was trying to guide yous guys into this direction, but apparently failed ;D
This would set a nice timeout feature on the rescue, and if the player took too long the mission would get a lot harder... or something.... Nevertheless, LCD would be out of the picture...
Of course, 'in real mission' Artak would be unaware of this...

And as I can't post another post yet... ::)

Oh, and please, no convoys...
OFP handles them almost as badly as it handles choppers/airplanes...

have you never played Platoon Commander? The convoy in that is perfect.

There's no need posts like the few above and as before I will be deleting them shortly.
Now read my lips:
If you want something to happen in the mission you continue the plot, from where the person bfore you left off, as you see fit. Everything else is useless and considered as spam - freedom of speech, comments, democrasy, .. do not exist in this post.
The mission builder will ultimately decide what parts of this story he will be implementing.

Maccy and Homefry are growing slightly impatient, so they send Kali and Asmo out to find Artak and his team in a PVS3 Civil. Knowing the terrain like a book, they quickly discover the hidden dirt bikes...

*edit: doesn't need to be cutscene or anything*

...and the US soldiers that were killed in the firefight with Artak.
Not knowing Artaks condition (captured in firefight? killed?), and worried about completing the rescue, Macguba and Homefry equip Kali and Asmo with US weapons they can find on dead soldiers, and head for LCD. They decide to call for backup, and Sefe picks none other than Armstrong (along with a few other soldiers) to help.

And Armstrong cleverley hides behind a tree and mask himself as dmakatra. They are truly the same man. ;D

Anyway. This is like dead. Totally FUBAR. Had a talk to LCD. It's most defenatley FUBAR.

yeah...
Suggestion: Take everything that is here now, and make a summary (or a detailed description if you want to take the time), and lock this thread.
wait a few months to let it pass into nonexistence, then reintroduce it starting with the summary.
Chances are, you will get a renewed enthusiasm about this, and it will continue to grow.

If it dies out again.... depending on how much you got from the new thread you could just do this over again.

Of course, if everyone has completely lost interest then we shouldn't even bother to try... :'(

I was interested in this, and I would like to see it continued, but I couldn't post because of the every 3rd rule. Please consider Triggerhappy's solution.  ;)

Well, someone else has to take over the editing part. As LCD is like... well... ;D

He won't do it, considering that far.
