Althouugh i am a no-hoper at making missions, i have an idea that someone else could take the credit for.

Part 1
The mission starts, you and youre squad are onboard a blackhawt, en route to attack a soivet installation which is a vital position to have. Youre Blackhawk is escorted by an Apache, however, during the journey, the Apache is shot down, (or could have some kind of failiure) Any way, you see the pilots eject the you are given an order to extract the pilots. The Blackhawk turns around and drops youre squad so you can give cover to the pilots. Then the Blackhawk comes under heavy fire and has to return to base, so you and the pilots are left behind and the Russians are closing in on youre position, you take cover in a nearby wood where a cutscene shows you about to surrender, then a Resistance Group attacks the Russians.

Part 2
A cutscene shows you and the Resistance leader talking, he offers to help you in the attack, but they are low on ammo, and there is an ammo dump near by, but on the route there are a few patrols which uses up some ammo, which means you might have to take some Russian guns. The ammo dump is gaurded with quite a few men and maybe a handful of armour, obviously you attack the ammo dump and re-arm and continue on the mission.

Part 3
Yet again, on the way to the origional mission objective, you encounter more patrols, mainly 2-8 men, small chance of bmp's. There is a small camp on the way where empty bmp and T72 cam be took, but there low on ammo, then a little further on, you get to the main installation, which is well defended, however, there is a possibility of callin in an artillery strike, once the installation is took, re-inforcements are brought in, and the pilots you rescued earlier are extaracted along with whats left of youre squad. The maybe a mission cutscene where you are decorated for youre bravery.

No need to apologize for mistakes, we all make them....

As for the mission idea, I like it quite a bit.  Things going wrong are always interesting, and if it catches the player off guard they can really add a lot to the mission. The only problem I see is where you're heading prior to getting shot down...  Instead of heading to an attack, I'd change it to something less important, like heading home after a recon patrol or something.

For something I'd add, instead of having to attack the ammo dump, make it optional.

Good idea man, just add in a few more details and it will be really nice...  What island do you hope to have it on?

I like it as well, good idea. Whilst i was readin i kept thinkin" yeh this cud work really well", it would definetely keep the player on their toes.

The cutscenes also have the potential to be really exciting and interesting.

Like Homefry said u cud make the ammo dump attack optional, but if u decided to leave it and move on the troops staioned at the dump cud be used as reinforcements to attack u frm the rear once you get to the installation. Wud be a big surprise for the player.

yes, i agree with all of youre pionts, they make sence, im now thinking that maybe the helicopter extracted you after a mission, so youve lost some ammo, but the downed pilots need rescuing, so youre squad also nedd to re-arm, and maybe use russian weapons. There is one problem, i have no idea about making missions, i was posting the mission in an attempt to see if some1 else was up for the chalenge of making it

I would not mind the project but I won't be able do it fast. How fast do you want the mission done?

im not really that bothered, how much memory do u think it will need, coz my internet is on laptop, but flashpoint is on desktop.

I'm sorry. I did not mean internet or computer speed. I was talking about how fast you would like the project completed.

School will start up soon and I don't know how much time I can dedicate to it. I know I will have time though.

I'll probably complete the missions in parts so you can see how the progress is going.

As for the size of the mission, the largest it would be would be is 2 or 3 MB.

I was wondering which if any addons you would want to use? For a mission like this I could see using just the offical addons.
Also which island do you want to use?

Oh and don't worry if I do make this mission you will get credit.

2 or 3 MB is great as i have a 64 MB flashpen to transfer it, thnx

as long as i dont need to download any addons ill be happy (i have opf now) and any island would be gud, would prefer nogova as it is bigger, or maybe kolgujev as it has a few bases

This sounds interesting, Any chance of me helping with the project in any way? I think waht you've come up with here is great. maybe when you are dropped in to help the pilots, the chopper is shot at and it chashes? (maybe a timed crash script? ???) Or maybe when you land, you and the pilots have to run for ur life cuz the T-72 and the BMP's are slowly closing in?

pretty good ideas everyone, i think the mission should also have quite a few retry-points as its quite long and complicated
