Heres A New Story!

You are Howard Bell, a homicide detective in California (LA). You are just assigned to the North Hollywood Murder Cases. Some One Is Going Around, murdering citizens. You will have to solve clues. Like finding finger prints, following leads.. And The Final Showdown with the killer. The more the killer kills, the more your other officers will distrust you. After the killer kills 30-40 people, you will be fired

I would play it, but it seems a little beyond the OFP engine.  If you can pull it off somehow, I would definitely play it.

ever played the "found the serial killer v1.0"?

its a multiplayer map, where there is one person who is the serial killer, and he goes from town to town and kills one woman in each town.  the cops have to go find him.  its pretty fun, but gets really boring when theres less than 5 or so cops cuz its so easy for the serial killer to hide.

i think itd be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY to hard to make a nonlinear campaign.

you should make a SEMI-linear campaign (like in resistance, you can choose to betray the partisan, but eventually you end up fighting agaisnt the russians)

that plays out like a movie, so it feels like the campaign IS linear, BUT it isnt.

thatd be pretty cool, like if you made classic cop film cutscenes like the protagonist pulling off a daring hostage rescue in the intro hehehe.  or a high-speed chase in which the protagonist saves the day.

thatd also be cool if you made it like a "lethal weapon" shoot em up action flick heheheh.  or maybe some john woo special FX action movie, maybe like max payne (hmm, nah screw max payne  ;D ) , maybe where you bust a drug ring or a mafia.

That map is already a classic ;D. Really great fun when the cops get OH-58 and UHs with MG. Chasing killers truck with police jeeps and choppers is just so much fun.
