cant add texture?

i used text wiew to get the texture tga then open it in paint shop pro modified it and saved jpg then try to copy it in text wiew as pac format but it always copy it as paa and when tryed to add the paa to the model and import it the texture is missing i know its up to that other textures are pac but why it copyes it as paa always?
