I'd like to play it all I know is that it took place in dense jungle, perhaps a Nam pack would be ok, and u need to have the SLR.

as far as i've seen, there's only two books from the SAS point of view, Unscated by Pete Ashby
and another one, called, Once a Pilgrim, hence the rhyme on the church at Stirling Lines, byt Will Scully, does that help?

well, ive been doin some research..... got a fair bit of info... but the info i have only explains who killed who, how many shot every1...

what i need is mission specs... where they inserted, was it with chooks? or lynx? the route they took, the skirmishes they had on the way... i know the paras supported them... so just need to know the timeline etc...

hmm, I think they was inserted by Chinook or maybe it was a puma  :-\ it stuck around and supported them with mg fire anyway.  It was next to a river because they were suported by some more british troops who waded across, here's my little map oh what I remember from the mission

/ = jungle
0 = building
~ = river
* landing zone

It was against the West Side Boys if you can't remember their name, and I think the landrovers were only used in the exfil but I'm not sure. And only 1 fatality on the brit side a SAS guy called Brad Tinion from Harrogate (not far from me).  ;)

hope that helps a bit

that map helps... the site i chose on Ia trang was away from the river... now i'l change it...

yeah, i know of the west side boys - apparently they were always drunk or stoned... 1000 strong... and yeah, we lost 1 guy... was 100 paras who supported the asdsult... sas were tasked with building assults as paras laid down SAW support and then secured the evac site...

im pretty sure the SAS inserted by landies... they made a trek across the jungle in them and reccied the village... then called in the paras and started the assuult... as SAS SOP's dictate, hostages are evac'd first... no sas troops will accompany the hostages, as they will evac the same way they came in... paras would have evac'd using chooks - so i'll stick with that...

cool, that helps, now i know how to set up my map :D

and Black feather, i just wanna use the armed landies anyways... its so much fun storming a village with them... lol  ;D

Don't remember much of it.  But I seem to remember the one SAS member who was killed soon after getting off the helicopter.
