is there any way to get the trees from les ctrevec to NOT float at the slightest elevation change? i cant seem to figure it out.

the new DR NO's island has forests that go right a mountain side and it doesnt look messed up at all.

anyone know?

In wrpedit the trees automatically do that but once ingame they are fine.

Place the tree group where you want it then double click on it again, uncheck the "fit to ground",then decrement it by .01.
Like if the Y axis is at 20.75 decrease it too 20.74.This will not look right in preview but looks great in the game.

Might need to uncheck the "fit to ground" before placing your object first, then decrement the Y axis by .001.
