Camera following a unit which is inside the vehicle
« on: 29 Jan 2013, 20:17:44 »
If somone still remembers, there was this cutscene in the Red Hammer campaign on the first mission, where the camera follows Dimitry Lukin's face as he swims inside the boat (Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=FUcfa4LRyBM#t=285s)

How do i do that?

Step 1: search this forum for "depbo red hammer campaign"
Step 2: use what you learn to extract the Red Hammer campaign files
Step 3: load up the intro in the editor
Step 4: look at the scripts in the mission folder
Step 5: copy the method and by trial and error understand how it works
Step 6: do it for your own intro

Not difficult, and requires only a little effort. Good luck  :good:

You basically use a camsetRelPos loop (I think).

Some very sage advice from Bedges. You can learn a great deal from existing missions and campaigns (not just those made by BIS).

I should search for my OFP CD , it includes red hammer . Will look into redhammer.pbo and will share the solution with everyone, so everyone would know!
