Landing on carrier
« on: 28 Jun 2009, 21:53:46 »
Has anyone figured out a smooth method to get AI helicopter pilots to land smoothly on the deck of the carrier ship? I have been playing around with invisible Hs and land commands, without success.

See if mando's heliroute script works in arma 2 is all I can say.  ;)

Hope that helps.

I made a workaround using a specified inflight route over the open front deck and a constant lowering of flyInHeight. It produces a rather rough landing, but it looks good on screen. Since allowDamage is working again it was quite easy to protect the chopper from crashing at the critical point.
