RSS wiki guide - a bit arma fan sites specific.
« on: 24 Mar 2009, 16:20:10 »
This is the best area I found. Feel free to move to some other place.

As OFPEC, as well as most other community sites offer RSS feeds,
I believe it is a good idea to share the resource.

The content is:

Quote
    * What is RSS
    * How is it useful
    * How does it work - subscribe to a feed
    * Feed reader applications
    ** Firefox
    *** Brief
    ** Opera
    ** Standalone applications
    *** FeedReader3
    ** Internet explorer
    * External feed reader filters
    ** Feed Rinse
    ** Pipes
    * Similar programms
    ** ZapTXT

At the moment, you find the guide in the dev heaven wiki.
After some days of feedback time, it will be available in BIKI as well.

In the nature of a wiki, you are very much welcome to add your own knowledge and experience.  :good:

hello NightJay  :)

dev heaven has not gone officially live yet.

The idea is basically to fill the gap between the various arma related sites
like BIKI, BIF, OFPEC and various news sites.
At the same time dev heaven is working closely together with all partners
and is focusing on a few areas, like

* free project space hosting (source control system, ticketing system, file hosting, etc).
* simplify, reduce time and effort of development for arma
  (ie by sharing knowledge via tuts, biki and tools as well as project support of the dev heaven site)
* overall sharing expertise, knowledge and experience
* trying to make the BIKI more accessible

In short we focusing on experts in development and people are willing to become so.

Hope that clears up the idea somewhat. Feel free to ask more questions.  :)
