Call Signs for missions
« on: 31 Jan 2009, 17:38:45 »
Hi, I'm trying to come up with some call sign names for my mission.

I need to have a good one for "Command" i think I might just have it command or HQ..

Also I need one for the extraction call sign for the helicopter to pick up the men..

Any ideas to call them? If people want to provide a good list of examples, that would be a plus..

thanks..

Well AFAIK callsigns can be pretty much anything you like.

Have a look through these F16 Pilot callsigns and you'll see what I mean.

article to look at - I couldn't think of a better name for the link  ::)
and a list of actual US call signs

I'd say let your imagination run riot

lol, true enough I guess it does depend on the persons imagination it still has to be somewhat appropriate - you can't have something like;
"Rupert Bear, this is Fluffy Bunny link up with Purple Pete and penetrate Target Area Fat Slag"

I quite like using mythology for codenames to add a bit of dramatic flair.

I remembered I had this article (plus some other bits I'd pasted on to the bottom) on radio procedure that I've found useful in the past.
