mate - all addons DON'T HAVE to be beta tested - beta testing is where you give your addon to a few people, who then find all the bugs in it, so that when you officially release the addon you have found and eliminated all the bugs!

To put it simply:

A properly tested addon, tested by a few different people = a good addon

A not tested addon = a bad addon, as there will be bugs, and then version conflicts as you improve the addon to get rid of the bugs...
