popup tank targets

hey all

Im attempting to create popup tank targets for range training with armor vehicles.  My first thought was to use the red training targets like the ones that are outside the main hanger in evo.  The only problem I have is, I believe I would have to edit the model in O2 and change the weighting and everything.  I am still very much a noob, and the tutorials I have found for editing models in O2 arent very friendly for someone who has never modelled before.  Is there any ideas on the best way to get this made?  If its going to be complicated then so be it, ill take the time and learn and get it done.  Also id really not like someone to make these for me, if someone can just get me in the right direction so I dont have to ask in the future how to do things.

No real shortcut. Your solution is sound, copy the existing pop-up targets. MLOD, config and script are in the BIS provided source files.
