« on: 12 Jun 2008, 06:55:17 »
I'm kinda stuck in one of Allie's tutorials and was wondering if there was a posting done already that discusses some problems that might have occurred with people trying to work out the instructions on how to properly set it up. any help plz.      :dunno:

Well we would only be guessing where to start now wouldn't we.
We have no idea which bit of this tutorial you are stuck on, you really need to elaborate a little more.

We will help if we can, but we need to know what the exact problem is.  :good:

I guess you are trying to associate PNG files with PNG2PAA.BAT and PNG is not already in your list.
If it doesnt appear in your list then select NEW, and add it.

Not sure why Allie is doing that ...... where is this Tutorial located ?

Then continue on.

hmmmmm .... probably because his instructions for the PNG2PAA.BAT file location and execution seem to be mixed up, 2 different methods there.

If you have done the "ascociate PNG with PAL2PAC.EXE" bit, then I suggest when you Right-Click, it should work when you select OPEN at the top of the menu.

Alternative:
- Take a copy of the png2paa.bat
- Place the copy in directory;
   C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\SendTo

If you can't see that "SendTo" directory you need to un-hide files.
See here also; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310270

Now when you Right-Click the 12 files, move to SENDTO and then select the PNG2PAA.BAT
Should do the same as Allie intended.

OK something didnt work, Im almost sure i did what u mentioned but just in case ill post image. The batch file is in the SENDTO folder and the small window is whats inside the batch file which is exactly what Allie posted which i hope is correct but some how i have a feeling thats not so.

Go to the menu item "SendTo" which you can see half way down the menu in your picture (right side)
