Unneeded scripting found in most missions
« on: 07 Sep 2007, 01:14:41 »
whenever i download a mission from the beta testing i find a lot of scripting that doesnt seem necessary, as it it similar to mission in the original campaign when i play a mission then look at the scripting, and i see a lot of things that arent needed and i see that some of those missions are easy enough to make without it.

so this leads me to think that there might be some sort of wizard, ecpecially for cutscenes which creates a little more than is needed.

am i right or do people really put that much scripting in?

an example of this is a mission i downloaded from here and the intro was made up of camera co-ordinates that don't seem like human would be specific enough to put in.  so how do most people make their cutscenes?

thank you

Most people will use the camera.sqs trick to get the coordinates. Try this wiki camera.sqs

Once you find your perfect camera location you can easily grab the coordinates.
