Shooting at nothing
« on: 18 Jun 2005, 01:44:55 »
Is it possible to get an AA solder to fire AA in the sky but at no target?

I just want to have an AA guy shooting for a cutscene but he doesn't need to hit anything...

Thanks.

Use the fire command.   Or give him a target out of shot.

LOL, ....I didn't see your thread.

So the fire command will make a unit shoot whether there's a target or not?

Thanks for the reply.

I gave the fire command a try but I cant get the unit to equip his AALauncher.

All he has is an AALauncher but he keeps it on his back.

Ok, I gave the unit a pistol & now the fire command works. He first points his pistol skyward like he's spotted something & then pulls AALauncher out & fire it off...perfect...just what I wanted.
