'NATO' Symbols as Markers?
« on: 19 May 2005, 01:23:13 »
Hi there, I'm currently engaged in making a few basic missions that I can play with friends. I'm in the middle of doing the briefing and map markers for a mission, and I really want to include the 'NATO' markers for units (the ones that are rectangles with symbols in to represent which sort of unit it is; Infantry, Airborne, Armour, etc.).

However, they don't appear to be in any of the options in the Mission Editor. How can I make them appear on the map?

 Any help appreciated :D

There is an addon for Nato symbols, but I don't know exactly where you might find it.

You could try first here:

http://flashpoint.gamezone.cz/index.php?special=articles/addons.html

EDIT: Copy/paste that to your browser

EDIT2:  Found them here:

Hi,

Just to say the Chain of Command's "Command Engine" does what your looking for however the point of the "Command Engine"is to control lots of teams they assign the markers so it looks like icon for the units so if you don't know how to attach the markers this might help.

Hope this Helps

P.S the NATO markers I have appears in the "Markers" section mixed with the normal (objective, dot, pick up etc) but they don't move

Thanks for the help - the ones on flashpoint.gamezone are great, but for two problems:

 1) They're described in the menu in Czech  ??? ;D

 2) The pack is missing airborne markers, which are integral to the mission  :(

I looked on the CoC site, but I couldn't find a download unfortunately. I only really need them for the map to make it look a bit fancy  :D

You want these: USMC Symbols v1.2 which are found on the CoC site here.

How one can not find the download page on that site continues to amaze me, but there you go. Good luck!
