I like to use ECP.  It is a great improvement in many areas of the game, including explosions

I found this mod from OFPEC ( here ;D ) You don't need any other addons to get this work. Just download the file, install, your OFP has a new realistic explosions

Oops! Almost forgot to give that link. You can download that mod here. You'll see it. It's named Real explosions MOD
