Question about upgrading addon

I what to upgrade some addons which was made by other people. For exaple Airbus. The model is great but everything other... I don't know ANYTHING about the author. They just didn't include readme in zip. So what shall I do ? This should be a great addon if it will be modified.

yeah, i was trying to make a resistance version of capt moores ah6 littlebird. i couldnt find him anywhere, so i decided i would release it and credit him well in the .cpp, readme and whatever. i still havent managed to get that doen because i need someone to check the .cpp for me because there is an error in it but i don't know what. i emailed kkb but he havent replied yet.
