Instantiating new variables in OFP
« on: 16 Feb 2005, 11:18:50 »
Hi,

Does anyone know if i can instantiate a variable defined in a dll and get Operations flashpoint to invoke that variable to do some things whenever an event occurs?

Thanks,
Jonathan

So you mean, you want OFP to read a variable from a file OUTSIDE of ofp? Not possible, really. However, you CAN get ofp to read a SCRIPT from a different directory (instead of just the mission folder/pbo), so that might work for what you are trying to do. For example, the ECP uses an external, editable script to let the user change the settings of the ECP's scripts.
