New anim woudld be possible, but not usable. Don't ask unless you want a really complicated answer. Anways, I am reworking JJR's vietnam pack including the weapons, and I added some new features to the Thompson SMG, I suppose it could be modified to have a different fore grip and drum mag.

The Thompson's 100 round drum magazine was never used in World War II because it is noisy, heavy and cumbersome.  I am not sure as to the capacity in which the Thompson was used in Vietnam, however.  I saw a knockoff Thompson that had been homemade by VietCong in the museum at West Point.  It used the standard magazine for the weapon.  It was impressive, but very rough looking.  I wonder how well it worked.

Actually the Thompsons Drum Mag was used in the Pacific theater of WW2 on occasion...
