.ogg to .lip
« on: 25 Jan 2005, 23:05:06 »
Hey, I have a mission where all the voices for the ppl are in .ogg, and well I wanna see them move their mouthes.

Can I go from .ogg to .lip? Or do I need to go back to .wav?

And if I go .lip, will it increase the size of the mission? Cause its already pretty big. :P

thanks :-*

.lip files are usually small (<~ 1Kbt).  Yes you need .wav files t create .lip files.

The Wav2Lip program doesn't work for me... what other programs creates the *.lip files in which brings forth the month action in OFO missions.

I know i need to convert the *.wav file to the *.lip before converting the *.wav to the *.ogg file.  Well i could but i know i have to use the *.wav file for converting to the *.lip.

* I downloaded the Wav2Lip from this website.
It installed as a folder:
\\OFP Sound Lab
and within that folder were:

OFP Sound Lab 1.0.exe
oggdec.exe
oggenc.exe
Readme OFP Sound Lab.txt
ReadME_WSSprogs.txt
WaveToLip.exe
wsscod.exe
wssdec.exe

That's it.... the *.exe files except the OFP Sound Lab 1.0 has an icon that looks to be nothing.  And when i click one of them, nothing happens.

When i open OFP Sound Lab 1.0.exe it has a few Visual Basic command bottons and fields.

These in which are:

Load File(s), Win Sound Recorder, Run, Exit... and so on.

Once i Load a File and Select the mode that i want to create.

Then press Run, after like 2 seconds it says done after the file name.

WHERE did it go if it worked.  IDK... hmmm.

Yah so i don't get it, i don't think it even works on my computer.

So please help me.

This program would help a lot on this campaign i am working on.

 8) ;D :) ;) :D :P :-*

Wav2lip is the only option I'm aware of.  The trick is that it's not compatible with long folder names.

On your root drive (c:) put a new folder called, say, wav2lip.
Copy wav2lip.exe into it.
Copy the wavs you want to convert into the folder.
Drag and drop them onto the wav2lip.exe icon.
Pause of 2-3.
.lip files should appear in the folder
Copy or move them to your \mymission\sounds folder.
