I'd find it hard to believe that there is enough news everyday within the OFP world to fill a daily newsletter. :P

Unfortunately it's too high a volume of mail to send daily (we have 11770 members as of today), especially unsolicited (i.e. spam). And if it were a subcription service, the uptake would be too small to justify the resources required.

Regarding the amount of news items, it is correct that it would be hard to fill a newsletter daily, hence why BIS run a weekly newsletter instead. :)

Nice suggestion, but BIS's weekly newsletter more than covers this aspect of news delivery.

We more or less already produce this:   if you look at the whole of the homepage you will see the latest news (obviously) and down at the bottom the latest submissions to the various Depots.       It doesn't cover all the forum threads of course, but if you want to see those you can easily come to the forum and look.

And as Noon says, the logistics of emailing would be formidable.

Thanks for the suggestion though.   We like suggestions.
