Optics! (scopes, etc)
« on: 23 Sep 2004, 00:10:11 »
I've recently started messing around with optics - the ironsight of the small-arms. So, I'd like to ask you guys a question - What does a totally white screen mean? What causes this?

Second, I'd like to ask how the muzzleflash seen through the ironsight is added. Because, if I add the Marine Assault Pack's AK74M optic to an ofp model, I see a yellow muzzleflash when shooting through the ironsight, and a white, general ofp one when shooting without.
I am actually flying into a star... this is incredible!

A white screen means that the texture path for the optic is wrong.
The muzzel flash needs to be added to the optics p3d in the same way it's added to the weapon p3d.
The reason your getting a yellow one is because that is the texture applied to the muzzel flash for the optics.
