O2 Bridges Help. Overcoming land surface geometry

I've made a nice bridge addon's, but whenever I place it over the Malden Gorge, any soldier who moves onto it adopts the posture corresponding to the cliff below (ie lying down).  Is there a way in 1.46 to override this problem and allow troops and vehicles to cross?

i believe that bridges are 1.75 (resistance) only, and can't be implemented properly in anything below version 1.75 :(

This is due to the coding upgrades in 1.75
