hello everyone, i would like to know what u think of  this .3ds file i got. i'm new with o2 software so if someone want to help, i apreciate.
i guess this model has more polyogns then needed, but im trying to lighten it. u guys think this kind of vehicle can work on ofp? hope so!

 I remember seeing someone else was going to make one of these a while ago...  never seen anything else about it ..


 I'd love to take this out on a winter island.. especially if it's armed ..

  Should be doable in OFP I think.

 If you need help cutting it down on polys I can help you out with some O2 work....  I'm just not too good at textures

i can send u the .3ds file if u want. just say so.
 the point is i cant see the dam model in the external viewer. i opened the .3ds file,then scaled it, centered on origin,went to external viewer and nothing there...but if i draw a box or anything else and then go to external viewer the objects are there.. am i'm missing something?  i opened a 3ds file ,not imported...
i'm using o2 since 3 days ago, after 3 years of just playing ofp, never edited nothing. i just use max5.0 for fun and work sometimes. need some more time to read the tutorials avaiable.
the saved .p3d is 28Mb.. is this normal to?  :-\
maybe a lot vertices to clean, duno...
and yes it has a mg on the front seat with grenades to!
i guess this vehicle has a lot of fun. maybe like an hovercraft i guess...
in reallity the engine propulsion is 205-215kg . later there was a version with jet engine!!-- guess we could take the blades out, make a small jet engine hole, and make him dam fast!

 To get .3ds into O2 with everything working right, you need this program

you open the .3ds file using Object > Import

 and then under the  Options > Debug menu  make sure that 'Dummy 3DS KData' is checked off..

then go to Object > Export  and save your new .3DS file

then import that into O2

sory for the late answer, but i was away this last week. i just did what u sugested but when i import or open  the 3ds file after doing the anim8or step, my o2 just crashs... here is the link to 3ds file + textures. i'm gona ask u to give a try on it.

i almost got it into oxygen is just that when it is optimizing faces it freezes or gets a error im think because of too many faces :-\

i just got home today from a 1 month vacations  
i just abandon the idea of adapting my 3ds file in a p3d file, so i think i'll try to start this project from the start... god help me!!  :-\

yes i opened a thread last night on bis oficial forums, and now ofp.cz is hosting the file to.
i hope that ofp comunity start making a couple of maps with it, so i can play on this christmas cold nights
