A Dialogue Question.
« on: 31 May 2004, 20:20:52 »
Hey Yooouuu Guyyyysss!!

Could someone possibly help me or put some input into this please? i have a mp map which has a respawn.. this works perfectly. But i was thinking on expanding this with a dialogue. What i want is when a player dies a dialogue is produced / shown so the player can choose where he wants to respawn.. lets say 2 respawn points to make things easy.. i can make the dialogue i think but its the coding / scripting i would have problems with..

Another way would be to display the dialogue after the player has respawned. and just use a black in / out sequence and setpos him?

Any ideas guys?

Rhys

Greets, Rhys.

You may find some of this stuff useful:

I don't know much about MP scripting (as I'm on 56k still), but some of Chris Death's stuff may be of interest.

Good luck,

P.S. - Interesting idea, reminds me a little of UT2004 Onslaught...
