Component interaction in 3DS Max
« on: 12 Nov 2003, 22:03:30 »
Does anyone know how to make components of a 3D model interact in an animation without me having to animate each individual item? I'm working on a model of a gun mechanism, and I need it to function properly.

Hey Torak!

This doesn't seem to have to do with OFP, so that's probably why people don't have your answer. (I don't know either, sounds like you need to animate each part or export it to an easier to use program or something)

If I'm mistaken and this does have to do with OFP, let me know.  Otherwise, I'll have to lock this thread as it would be off topic.

Thanks

Asmo

Technically not OFP... but I could be sneaky, I guess, and say I'll turn it into an addon later? ;D

Oh well, worth a try. ;)

I'm setting it as solved - although if anyone has any ideas about it, please send me a PM or email.
