Map Sizes?

Its not really about WrpEdit, but how many MILES down and across are the maps in OFP?  I ask as im starting work on a map of my town..  cheers

The default size is 12.8 x 12.8 km. I think the size cant be changed.
The gridsize is 50 meter.

Well it seems like as if it is possible to use other formats as well, as I have saw on http://www.Natosoldier.com about two moths ago. (50km*50km)  ;)
