Good idea for the ejection seat but ejecting from an crashing plane and whit the ejection seat dusn't make sens, i mean, u eject to prevent dieng

Airforce pilots are trained on ejecting whit such a seat, so its unlikly they will die ::) the random damage script is a good idea, but in real life the pilots won't get that much damage, i think ???, but its a gr8 idea  ;D

Try finding some info on www.google.com over ejection seats.

I feel sorry for the bird... lol SPLAT..... Ok I am having trouble now with the addons. The person I hoped would make them can't. The same thing happens to both of us, we try to load up the BIS A10 model to take the canopy, but it wont load. Does anyone know how to load the BIS models? Or would anyone wanna help me with the addons? I also have a problem with addaction (check scripting/editing genral section).

Yeah offcourse it could happen but not after 3 times ejecting or so (cause off the random damage script)

but i think it's still a good idea, but i don't fly in OFP all my planes are always on the ground  :-\

Yea it could happen, bird hits him and takes his head off, seat explodes, guy passes out and doesnt wake up, it could happen. Does anyone know how to load BIS models in o2? Everytime I try it says it can't load it.

The player activation part kind of works but still has some bugs, for example it can only be used on one plane or else when one guy uses it all of the other planes will eject. So thats a bit of a delay. Plus im still waiting on the addons.

You can't open the models that come with the game, you need to get hold of the ones that came with the demo and I don't think the A10 was one of them sorry.  :(

I read an article in "Combat Aircraft" about a Strike Eagle pilot who punched out at about 760 mph....he survived but he was all f*cked up and his WSO didn't make it.

Though a few years later he was flying again  :wow:

I figured that's relevant because of the speed example...so let's say if you punched out at that speed, you get like .9 dammage - if you could work in the math that makes the chances of ejection go up as the speed goes up, that would be very good.  I don't think making it totally random would be as accurate.

So low speeds = low chance of injury, high speeds = high chance.

DeLiltMon:

I was talking about the ones from the demo, but I still cant open those, I get a cannot load error.

SEAL84:

Thats way to complicated for me, but I guess I could experiment with velocity commands :) But still....

Ok so if anyone would like to help me or anything then just ask, and ill keep the thread open about suggestions and/or ideas about it as well as my progress.

It would also be cool to have an ejection seat for the Russian V-80.  As far as I know this is the only real helicopter to have a working ejection seat.

Yea didn't the russains have a helicopter ejection system that ejected the whole rotor first? Anyway you would need a whole new V-80 to do that..... Well I'm still having problems with my addaction and if anyone knows anything about scripting check out my thread about addactions and parameters in the advanced section....

hmm i saw a helicpoter ejection on a james bond  film (i know its a film,. but it looked like it could work) what happened was (im guessing at this) small explosive bolts went off on the rotorblades sending them flying away from the helo and then the whole cockpit flying up on rockets as sort of a pod type thing
