Love the P51:D( As I have told FW200 elsewhere(I44 board where are you)
Love the GMC also:)
The Hetzer is a little dark to make out clearly but it looks all there:)
The bridge is ok and I look forward to more of the same.
I am not concerned about the packaging of the add ons.
A stream of small additions spread out is better than a long wait.
Also making campaigns etc will be a lot easier with the right models to drop straight in.

Strangelove:
You may be drunk but I know what you mean.
If they could release all of it today it would be cool:D
Having waited over a year for this stuff Im not about to complain here.
I did that at least 6 months ago:D:D:D

Now then, no putting words in my mouth. I ain't complaining. The folk doing the early century stuff have always got my vote. It's all the pointless fast jet, smart-weaponry, modern warfare stuff that bores me. Oh, and if I was drunk, I'm not now.  :(

No the words were from my mouth:)
'....I'm not about to complain here....' didn't, or was not meant to, implicate you in any complaints toward this Board, BIS, the UN or anyone else:)

Sorry if it appeared that way.
Man you guys are touchy round these parts;)

Aww sheeeeit now I've gone off topic.

I must say that I concur totally with the sentiment you did express though.
Smart weapons are dull.
Manual gun laying is much more of a challenge.
Can they slow the turret rotation also?
The panic as the gun swings slowly onto target.....
Will you beat your opponent to the punch.
Much more fraught than this new fangled auto targetting:)

Aye.

I note i44 are going to offer a proper c47... which would be particularly welcome... especially if they include towable gliders! That's something I'd really like to do... a night insertion by silent glider.

Vis, WW2EC, by the way, has anyone using their infantry addons suffered a bug in the editor that resets any unit you click on to the para at the top of the group list. This is annoying, to say the least. I'm still trying to track down the precise point where this bug started and will report if I trace the source.  ???

Modified addition :

To clarify, I've got both their US airborne troops and the Red Devils in the editor.

Also, the P51 looks very special. I did think, however (used to play Jane's WW2 Fighters a lot), that it could carry many more than six HVARs? Feel free to slap me down on this if I'm showing my ignorance!!  :P

Any bugs you could precisely locate would be very helpful, thanks.

Sure, Gogs.

One final querry, for now (honest). Is anyone doing any work on those wonderful twin fuselage planes, the Lightning or Mosquito? Medium bombers are smashing... no worring about how to implement the turrets on heavier bombers, yet they can still carry a shed load of armaments.

I'm afraid not at the moment. Aircraft wise, we have a P-40 and a P-52 in the works. I completely agree about a Mosquito, although I fear it would only be used at night. A Ju-88 would be awsome though. In terms of Allied bombers, the closest your likely to get is a typhoon or tempest I fear, from WWIIEC at least, for a little while......

WILCO

and, concerning the afformentioned BUG REPORT :

Ok, to report back. I deleted the Red Devils to see if this was the prob (as everything I clicked on was turning into one of these soldiers) yet the problem has persisted with the 101st Airborne.

It seems this bug only happens if I add the squad using the group menu. If I do this, then subsequently click on, say, the officer, it will change this to a Garand Soldier. Consequently, you have to swap the troup type back every time you click on a soldier to make alterations to it.

The workaround is obviously to make my own groups, but I thought you might like to know about this.

All the addons are great... teething probs are to be expected!

Snooped around a bit and found that P51d loadout was :

2 x .50 Cal M2 MG's (400 rounds each)
4 x .50 Cal M2 MG's (270 rounds each)

10 x 5 Inch HVAR Rockets or,
2 x 250Lb GP Bombs or,
2 x 500Lb GP Bombs or,
6 x 5 Inch HVAR Rockets and,
2 x 250Lb or 2 x 500Lb GP Bombs

So, it's six rockets with two bombs, or 10 rockets.

Still looking for a picture to show the ten rocket loadout, will report back if I find one.

I roger that re the Mossie. A perfect bird 8)
Tho it was a single fuselage:)
As for night ops only as mentioned by FW200.
Not so.
Mossies flew daylight deep penetration raids for two years
over the reich.(It was the fastest thing around for two whole years during WWII!)
Also it was used for pinpoint attacks on Gestapo HQs around Western europe.
It did of course fly pathfinder master bomber missions as well
As well as train ship tank busting!
Alongside the Ju 88 it was the most adaptable A/C of the war.

A disney bomb would also be cool:D

I love the Mossie. Its a beutiful bird. But..... I just can't see it suiting OFP. Plus, in terms of close air support in 1944-1945, which is the period we're interested, you would have had Typoons, Tempests, Thunderbolts, or Mustangs.

Hello all.
I'm a newbie yet a huge fan of OFP. I've got a few missions of my own..  but they need a little help.. I have recently been doing WWII missions (Thanks to all of you for the Authentic Addons) but have yet to come across a Swastika .jpg for the flag, any help here for a dummy would be much appreciated. :-\

Swastika? You wanna be careful using a flag with like that, because there is a component of OFP players made up of Germans, and as we all know, the symbol is deemed illegal. If it entirely necessary (and I realise it adds to realism) then just download a flag off the net and edit it or put one together in a program - can't be too hard, what, 8 lines a circle and a few colours? ::)
