I know...where is all the plane people? Thanx Fw200.I expect to put out the Corsair this weekend.I think I am going to stay small for a while.
My Helldiver is sitting without a tailgunner.
I plan to do a Zero next ,and maybe 2 british fighters (Hurricane & Spitfire prolly)

If nobody (FW200 ,lol) puts out any German planes (I see some in process?)
I may do a Stuka and Me109 or something.

Also need to do a AC Carrier sometime if nobody does one.

The Corsair will be released in USMC (Blacksheep), US Navy, and night fighter versions.I am already having fun with it.
The USMC Blacksheep will prolly be the fastest fighter I put out

I have specs and data on all US Navy WW2 Warplanes, but after the Corsair we will be all set on US units (You have the P51)
Need the Zero next

BTW FW200...I can't post on WW2EC now? I'd like to keep you guys informed and hoping you may host it also

Thanx again guys.Yes I signed up,it lets me login, but no permission to post (maybe was just a nightly bug? I can try again)
I can't post on Inv44 because I applied for a job,my app sat for a month ,got like 18 reads and I deleted it,now they wont let me post (lol)

I have 4 versions of the Corsair so far

USMC Blacksheep - 4000rnds,high rof,730kmh top speed

USMC Night Ops - 2500 rnds,mid rof700 kmh top speed,4 250lb bombs (2 or 4 hellfires maybe soon?)

US Navy - 2000 rnds,low rof,670 kmh tops speed,1000lb bomb,4 250lb bombs

East Japanese (don't laugh, just for dogfight purposes) Painted in white with Jap markings
650 kmh top speed ,and 1200rnds ,low rof

Thats where I am at,using setobjecttexture with the same model
(plane is skinnable)
Always new innovations!

Thanx Marss , and thanx to you too for the addons. And you are currently working on WW2 stuff? Thats great!! Wheres a stuka? I like Stukas and I would have made one,but I assumed it would be one of the first made. But none yet? My Helldiver is similiar and will  be real nice once I come up with a tailgunner.

FW200: Whats your expected release date? How we gonna do this ? Whats your top speed and such? Hows it handle? Should be very similiar to my Corsair.
Hmmm..... mine maybe be first?

I'm real far on textures, almost complete (beta anyways),just doing up the dash now.
I kept it low poly and its just  over a 1000 faces right now

I have many color schemes, and plan on releasing a texture pack with my psp files.
As the model is skinnable user changeable

Hmm, 2500 rnds, ok, high rof, ok, kmh, ok, 4 250 lb bombs, ok, off the top of my head sounds good....wait......2 or 4 hellfires?  Where did they get hellfires in WW2?
Maybe you should put rockets in there instead, that would be more accurate

Hi all
If anyone cares I' am currently making a German plane add-on it is a Fieseler Fi-156 Storch. It has extremely interesting characteristics like short takeoff and landings (with-in 100 feet) which I will try to create in OFP.
This add-on is still way in beta the textures + panel need a lot of work still.
When I finish this i will make the Ju-52. The German equal of the DC-3 or C-47

If the Screen Shot doesn't work try here

Sorry about the slow reply , but now to answer the questions - the turrent does not fire yet , it is just part of the plane I'am working on it though.
There proberly wont be 3 seats because this wasn't accurate  but if i get requests for the extra seat i will add it

I have put a beta avaliable http://www.freewebz.com/storchforofp/index.htm i'am looking for feedback, how does it fly? does it work?

It looks really good in the screenies tho' and I look forward to playing with it:)

I am working towards a FW 190 A8 panzerbock.

Very Impressive

Check out these to sites they have some good information on 3d modeling.
The 1st helps with naming all the movable parts and arming the plane.
http://ofp.gamezone.cz/_hosted/brsseb/
The 2nd  some gear and canopy tutorials although yours is a sliding canopy and the tut is for a hinge type
http://www.dc3d.co.nz/Tutorials/index.htm
and ofpec tuts section has another tut on folding gear. May come in handy unless you already know.

Interesting little plane. It flies great. Obviously the sounds and textures need work. And, as I think you said, the taxiing dust cloud appears above the model. I also had some difficulty approaching the canopy from the right side, as though there was an invisible extension from the wing.

I'm sure you're right, but was the Corsair really that short?

What payload versions are you thinking of including?

Folding wings, I imagine, are out of the question. Yes, Martin has done it with the Bond Jet, but the wings do not have ailerons. Maybe you could include a static version with folded wings if any WW2 carriers are released.

Re:WW2 Warplane Status

Folding wings aren't a problem.I already incorporated that into my Helldiver and the flaps and ailerons still work (hidden selections). The Navy version of the Corsair will have it.

I specified some payloads on http://internalediting.ofprc.net/modules/news/

I released the Corsair mainly so other modmakers can see the use of invisible selections making the gear act like multiple animations.

If you notice the gear folds back, then the wheels fold in,thats a first

And the size of the plane...I made it from a US Navy blueprint, but the plane was huge ingame compared to the soldiers,I had to shrink the plane to match the soldier size,I wish more warplanes were out so we all can compare and keep things similiar

I have joined WW2EC ...http://www.ww2ecteam.com/

And am starting a "War In The Pacific" mod there. I plan on making a fleet of planes and a few carriers of the WW2 era

Looking great ! Its alot more finished than mine. Due to other projects I haven't gotten done so far what I wanted to ,but its progressing.

Been whacking away at the textures when I can, still have parts to do.

Already done up the folding wings and invisble selections to go with that,I've added a few more touches (antenna and radar ball)

And of course I have been working on a bare Zero ,I needed to do the Zero so that I could match and finalize mainly the Corsair handling, and thats done too

Its getting there, problem is that I play BF1942 alot and had a match tonight for a twl Tribes 2 game and lost : (

Textures are a pain!
In my view texturing the zero white will be a nightmare.
So Good Luck  :)

Also what part of the Pacific is you're mod going to be based (Guadalcanal, Midway, etc...).

Another thing we need pilots!!!
Anyone intrested?
