Some real NV goggles please?
« on: 28 Jan 2003, 21:25:11 »
Could someone make a new set of NV Goggles???????

I mean some really modern ones, better resolution, less mask, and some zoom..

And not least a new model, the existing one is terrible!(IMO)

PLEASE someone make this, it would benefit the OPF society...

It would be cool to have some new ones but the current ones are realistic.

Yes it can,

Inside O2, I blieve it works as jet missile would...

1) You need a missile model

2)You need a Jet (obviously)

3)The CPP reads which file to fire, for example the missile
     that has been created

4) Then you PBO the files, and whatever you have for the
     missile will load it ingame.

You can even have your jet fire cars if you wanted!
Even tanks, heke, people too!

This works the same way for the Black Op.

Go inside OFP, and then press your NVG button..

You will the NVG Goggles come from no-where
this is the P3d that was made inside the PBO file...
:-D

[shadow=red,left,300]HOWEVER[/shadow]
The NVG Goggle addon I am making will ALWAYS be attatched to the character.

It will be pulled up, when not in use, and when you want to use it, he will pull it down using the Animation Editor, and the screen will change it's color to Heat Vision, or Night Vision.

These are still being experimented!
So basically itis in the testing stage.

no no no no, and no

its not possible, firstly, you cant change the colour of the NVG's, they are hard coded, secondly if you put the model on the guys head when they press 'n' the old NVG's will appear

While it might not be exacty Heat Vision...
I found it to be possible.

My idea is a cutom recource, that when turned on, fades in and out REALLY REALLY fast repeatedly.

It will give the Heat Vision a similar effect to the NVG goggles :D

While I figured that the CPP would fix this, seems like it might not.  With a normal unit maybey?

I was planning on leaving the NVG goggles on him normaly anyway...they look too cool not to be wearing  :P

If they hit 'n' the nightvision will come up, which is green...you cant change the colour at all

erm, i dont think you understood me, the 1985 goggles always appear when 'n' is hit, this is hard coded, there doesnt seem to be a proxy on the soldier models for NVG's so it must be hard coded

There is also nothing in the cpp distinguishing the NVGs from the binoculars, which ingame act very differently also pointing to the NVG's being hard coded, another thing that points to it is that i asked Araon (Lead Modeller from BIS) if it was possible and he said no, so you can try, but it wont work...
