Believe me Sharkdoggydog, you don't want a briefing tool. People post more questions here because of those then they otherwise would.

You need to focus on that fine briefing there that Tombster gave you.
Here's another one which I'll try to explain a bit.

<html>
<head>
<title>Titulek</title>
</head>
<body>

you need the above always. basic.

<h2><a name="Main"></a></h2>
<p>
Type text here.
<br>
</p>
The above is the text that print in the notes sheet.

<hr>
<p><a name="plan"></a>
Type text here.
</p>
<hr>
The above is for the front sheet text.

<p><a name = "OBJ_1"></a>Odota Alphaa ja ota komento.</a>.
</p>
<hr>

<p><a name = "OBJ_2"></a>Tapa kaikki tukikohdassa.</a>
</p>
<hr>

The above is for objectives which are printed in the front sheet. The ones that go "bling" and get a green mark when completed.

<hr>
<br>
<h2><p><a name="Debriefing:End1">Done</a></p></h2>
<br>
<p>
Venäläiset taitavat todella haluta pitää tuon tukikohdan. Hyvä kun selvisit hengissä ja ainakin ilmasta-ilmaan erikoisyksikkö saatiin tuhottua, vaikka tukikohta menetettiinkin.
</p>
<br>

<hr>
<br>
<h2><p><a name="Debriefing:End2">Lost</a></p></h2>
<br>
<p>
Et saanut kaikkia shilkoja tuhottua. Kun yksikin shilka on tuolla vuorella, emme voi käyttää koptereitamme. Tehtävä epäonnistui.
</p>
<br>

The above is for endings. They will be visible when your mission ends in some way.

</body>
</html>

you'll need these. basics.

...edit.... Tomb you old dog, you're getting slow  :booty: ;D

Sure, m8  :D Just hit the Tut.... oh no... forgot  ::)

uuum, alzheim'ed as I may be, I think I can push ya in the right direction.

Below is a copy of the briefing - it's a BIS briefing, so bear with me  :P ::)

--------------------------------------------------

<title>Titulek</title>
</head>

<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF">

Your objective is to locate these documents and bring them back for analysis. Take the officer's car from the town and drive it back to base.

</p>
<br>

<hr>
<br>
<h2><a name="Debriefing:End2">Mission failed</a></h2>
<br>
<p>
The Russians still have those documents.
</p>
<br>

<hr>
<br>
<h2><a name="Debriefing:End3">Mission failed</a></h2>
<br>
<p>
Perhaps we'll have another opportunity to retrieve those documents.
</p>
<br>

<hr>
<br>
<h2><a name="Debriefing:End4">Lost</a></h2>
<br>

</html>

--------------------------------------------------------

Now, if you note this :

There shouldn't be any armor around, just some Red infantry.
And if I keep my head down, I'll have the element of surprise...

Thats the one part, the private notes part of the briefing.

I'd like ya to use this briefing in some dummy-mission, just to see where the various lines pop up in the REAL briefing.

Ya can almost sence it, ay?! ...or  :-\ :P ( ;D )

Look, it took me several years to even get to know wtf a bloody html file wuz  :beat: so I'm on yer side!!!

Now, take a look at THIS part :

Intel reports that a high-ranking Russian officer, in possession of some highly sensitive documents, is visiting troops in La Trinite.
<br><br>
Your objective is to locate these documents and bring them back for analysis. Take the officer's car from the town and drive it back to base.
<br><br>
</a>You're <a href="marker:Start">near</a> the town of La Trinite.
</p>

<hr>
<p><a name = "OBJ_1"></a>Find the UAZ (Soviet 4x4) with the secret documents inside.
</p>
<hr>

<p><a name = "OBJ_2"></a>Take the car and report to your commander in <a href="marker:Dou">Dourdan</a>.

This includes a few OBJECTIVES and some MARKERS.

Ya need to knowsabout THEM as well to make a decent briefing.

  :noo: :help:

Well matey, I think your making this too hard for yourself by trying to search the easy way out.  :P

You've got it a few posts up from here.
If you don't want anything else but notes and mission plan then take away everything else from those two examples above. exept the start and the end which I've stated to be needed always

As you've maybe noticed it's HTML language.

Maybe you can also understand that it's impossible to list all the HTML commands in here.
There enough pages around the net what have a large "dictionary" of all the commands (<br> simply means "break" for example).

But if you don't want to learn HTML or even got the time for doing it you can download some "managers" for create briefings.

Here's the link to one (called OFPediting2.0):

http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?sekce=utilities&archiv=true&page=1

I also have started with something like this...

Np...but hit the "solve" button! ;D

Ok, one tip again!

If you've created your overview/briefing/endings you
don't have to rewrite the whole stuff if you made some mistakes in it.
Only open the .html file hit the right mausebutton and open
the sourcecode...there you can fix the bugs easily! ;D

And btw Shark,

the link i gave you above, you need to click on the
EDIT button below there, and then you will see the
(once again) "official briefing tutorial from BIS", where
all related stuff for creating your own briefings is explained
(easy to understand).

You can select then between briefings.zip, or the online
docu (INFO)
