help with screen shots (solved)
« on: 03 Jun 2007, 22:00:05 »
How are you guys getting your screen shots?

I was using Capture Eaze (very old version) until I switched to Vista and now it freezes when saving. I've tried several other programs but their hot keys don't work with ArmA open on top. If there's a way to run ArmA in a window I think I can use any one of a number of programs but I don't know how to do that either.

Help!

Thank you.

Hi,

XFIRE: Captures screenshots in full resolution in JPG format.
Fraps: You need to register to get full control.

Xfire is use. Its the bee's knee's for screen capturing.

What I do is just to press "PRINT SCREEN" key and then paste into a new Paint file.

Remember to toggle off Weapon Crosshair in your Difficulty settings, so your pictures aren't spoiled with the aiming reticule thing.

I too use Ctr-Alt-PrtScr (printscreen) to capture the picture, then Alt-Tab out of ARMA and paste into Paint, then save as jpg.

Thanks! I guess I have a habit of making things harder than they really are.

That's a lot less work than photo shopping it out.

The beauty of Xfire is that it will do all that for you (Alt-Tab), it saves it as a JPG for you, full resolution.
Saving the need for you to Alt-Tab out of ArmA. (www.xfire.com)

Lock the topic if its solved. :good:
