Work In Progress | Arma 3 Exile PvE Tanoa Server: Exile is PvP-centric mod that requires a lot of work in order to pull-off a good PvE experience. One of the reasons for that is that base (vanilla) Exile is playable only in PvP - In PvE gameplay loop would be to: grab as much stuff as you have -> go to trader -> get money -> buy things that help you carry more stuff -> go to town -> repeat, which is boring af. Arma is a game where you shoot stuff. Without other players to shoot, PvE Exile requires at least some AI to shoot. Once this is satisfied - everything else can be built around it: missions, ai patrols, crafting, building, services... But the more you add, the harder it is for all of the parts to work together well in a persistent Arma 3 scenario. I am working towards making a persistent map that can keep players invested and stand out from all other PvE Exile servers. |
