The overview is already very well made with a detailed postcard style picture, stamped with a title that instantly piques curiosity.
The very cinematic intro gives background for characters that are likely to face trouble. The scenes and dialogue are top-notch, connecting the player quickly to the very atmospheric and detailed interactive movie.
Includes character backgrounds and a short but fitting description for the first task. The briefing is updated correctly with new information and objectives as the story unfolds.
The story begins with the player's character performing a normal day of routine tasks at work, which require physical and verbal interaction with other characters. There is quite a lot of dialog to be heard and details to be experienced that help to establish the immersive environment, such as could be seen in games like Mafia.
When the player's character meets up with his friends after work, they ultimately go too far with a prank, turning the mission into a very thrilling and almost horror-survival experience with enough in-game cinema to keep the player on his toes through the many twists. With lack of proper weapons and team-mates, the player is left to wander around in the dark of night with paranoid timorousness.
There are cutscenes throughout the mission with proper ending and credits. All very well connected to the big picture. Quality stays high from start to end.
The cinematic storytelling with properly thought out backgrounds and whole progress of the mission feels very special. This is like a quality movie turned into a game.
With the superb storytelling, interesting characters, immersive setting, thrilling atmosphere, progress, details, plot twists and intense cinema, this mission is definitely one of the best missions for the game. An instant classic near-perfect mission.
