The Overview was nice and short: standard, one page stuff. It had a good picture with a border.
The Intro was a rather short movie where the A10 is shot down and Russian forces are mobilizing to apprehend the A10 pilot. Some of the camera angles following the A10 were odd, but everything else was fine.
The Briefing was solid, if a bit short. It told me most of what I needed to know, but it would have been nice if it had given me an estimate of what I would be facing. All of the links functioned and there was a small weapons selection that helped quite a bit.
The mission was fairly short. The main objectives were to basically stop the advancing Russian forces and take their base camp. The pilot was practically ensured to make it to the helicopter. The Russian forces that mobilized were much larger than I thought, but with the help of a few satchels and a LAW we proceeded to eliminate them one by one. I was almost out of G36 rounds by now, besides the two spare magazines I had added to my kit, so I picked up an AK74. I then had to leg it quite a distance to the Russian camp, so some music or an ambush could have been in order. The Russian camp was also pretty easy. I managed to take out the BMP and Hind helicopter from about 300 meters out with an RPG, and the rest of the camp was easy work.
(Review Date: Apr 2005) An average mission, and not too shabby. The author included a few radio messages in the beginning but there was no voice. The objectives were fairly simple, but they were not always exactly easy to complete. The author did include some custom music, which was a plus. The mission could have used a filler in the long run I had to make, such as an ambush or some nice music tracks.
