Overview

Custom picture and text that makes you want to play.

Intro

QAD gets a smack on the bottom for not fixing his intro. This mission was reviewed on another site ages ago, with comments made regarding the intro not ending. IT STILL DOESN’T END!

Not sure if there was anything to see leading up to the climax because it was darker than the inside of your eyelids.

The Intro was more like the 20th Century Fox thingy at the start of a movie. But I must say for me… that was enough.

Briefing

The well set out briefing looked good with all the colours of a rainbow and plenty of detail. Without going overboard.

Mission

The author’s use of action music throughout added to the atmosphere but ended up getting annoying in the middle of the last battle. I can’t hear what’s happening in the battle with music blasting in my ears.

Within approximately 5 minutes of the mission starting I was ready to give it a below average score. I was hoping QAD would come through with an answer to the question spilling forth from my lips…

This can’t be all?!?

Jump out of a chopper, run over the hill and far away, kill some bad guys and blow some things up. Sorry, it’s too easy. There has to be more… You’ll have to play it and see for yourself. Just make sure you play it more than once. Variety is the spice of life.

Some improvements could be made to this mission, like changing the radio talk from white text on the screen to sideChat. Or even better record some voices. ;)

The mission flowed quite well from start to finish, although some of the triggers only allowed for the player to approach from one direction making it hard for me to activate them as I went the other way.

Overall

(Review Date: May 2002) All in all, a fun mission if you don’t mind sitting though some onscreen talkies.
