Intro

A really great intro with voice acting. By the way, all the video scenes in this mission are really excellent. You see how some Hind helicopters attack a fortified beach on Malden.

Briefing

In a very good briefing with weapon selection, you can prepare and get all the necessary info for the mission.

Mission

Some minutes later you can either enjoy your approach with your landing boat (if you play in Cadet mode) or you can experience why this mission has lost its perfect score of Nine: if you play on Veteran, 9 of 10 times you and your squad are killed during the beach approach! It might be realistic, but sitting there and watching yourself die… Well, at least you can enjoy an excellent Lose Outro.

After reaching the beach, I enjoyed the best beach-landing mission I played in OFP: lag-free, a lot of action. But I am NOT getting shot to pieces every 5 centimeters I move. After securing the beach I move forward to the airfield.

I can even call for reinforcements which come by a cool Para insertion.

Overall

(Review Date: Sep 2003) This mission is a MUST for all OFP players! It is small, it is AddOn-free, fun and even runs on not-so-strong machines. Come on and get it. By the way, there is a campaign from the same author…

Pros:
 - Excellent Videos.
 - Voice acting.
 - Different cadet / veteran mode.
 - AddOn Free.

Cons:
 - Veteran mode very hard (but maybe I am a worse player).
 - Low replayability because no random elements.
