From time to time I get e-mails from people who have trouble registering to this site, the registration process simply dying with a "An error has occurred" message.
Finally I may have at least one culprit identified in this.
Seems that at least some Chrome users may suffer from this problem so if you have trouble registering try some other browser.
If the problem still persists on other browser(s) I can be reached via admin@ofpec.com and I'll get you in as soon as I can.

I cannot speak regarding new registration for OFPEC, although I will mention something here which may be relevant to some people. I use Firefox as a browser, running under Windows 10 Pro on this PC and when I clicked the "Login" at the top left of the main Home screen, it showed the Login dialog prepopulated with my login details (as I store logins using a Master password under Firefox). Attempting to login that way fails, but it takes you to the login place under the Forums (again pre-populated with my login details), if I then try again from there, my login works perfectly. If I go back to the Home screen, it also shows me that I am logged in, as the "Login" has changed to "Logout" with "You have 0 new messages" alongside (my username is not displayed). The Forum Index page displays "Welcome RichUK" at the top and the bottom of the page currently shows 97 Guests and 1 User under "Users Online" with RichUK listed.
I was gratified to read the stats:
Most Online Today: 123. Most Online Ever: 270 (01 Jul 2018, 16:08:22)
Not bad at all for a site started for editing OFP 19 years ago in 2001!
