A large gallery of the new vehicles in Operation Arrowhead has been uploaded by dslyecxi.

Operation Arrowhead will contain two new maps for ArmA2: Rural Takistan and one with the major city of Zargabad. The FLIR system from VBS2 will also be be ported to ArmA2, when the expansions is released. This was revealed at BI Forums today. At the same time new screenshots surfaced in the community.

Community mmember and BI Forum Moderator Wolle has attended the Gamescom in Cologne and interviewed Jennik from the development team. The resulting Q&A can be found here. It reveals several new features that will be present in Operation Arrowhead.

The MH-47 Chinook returns in Arrowhead

At the same time a dozen new screenshots were made available by the site rp-mods.com. You can view them all here: Screenshots. There's still no official release date except the usual: "It will be released when it's done." A brief summary of the news that has been revealed so far:

• Takistan is 160 square km of Central Asia modeled from real world data

• Zargabad is 70 square km intended for dense urban CQB conflicts.

• New Weapons and Vehicles includes: AH-64 Apache, MH-47 Chinook, AH/MH-6 Littlebird, Stryker variants, M3 Bradley, T-55, BTR-60, M113, UH-1H, FN FAL and the FN SCAR.

• Much of the "new" content is ported to ArmA2/Operation Arrowhead from VBS2.
