A complete set of official ArmA2 Editing Tools is scheduled for release together with Patch 1.03, accoring to recent updates in the Biki. The tools will will be of great help to mod makers who are building custom islands and models in ArmA2.
According to Marek Spanel at Bohemia Interactive, who updated the Biki, the released tools will contain the following:
* Oxygen 2 Personal Edition for Arma II - model editing and animation package
* Visitor 3 Personal Edition for Arma II - terrain and map editing
* TexView 2 - texture convertor and viewer
* BinPBO Personal Edition - packer
* Sound Tools - sound and lipsync utilities
* FSM Editor - tool to edit and compile fsms used in Arma 2
* BinMake - conversion tool
* Tools Drive - main working directory for tools with mandatory data files
Most of the tools should be familiar to addon makers with experience from OFP and Armed Assault. Though the new release alledgedly contains several updates, to make the set compatible with ArmA2. Patch 1.03 is scheduled for release this week, according to promises made by BI's PR Department. No exact date is yet given regarding patch or tools.
