Golden Oldies: Pack 1

A lot of our visitors still play Operation Flashpoint as it is still an enjoyable game to play. A few years ago OFPEC hosted a great number of OFP missions - campaigns, singleplayer and multiplayer missions. Due to the crash a great number of them were lost, only a portion has been recovered. Those missions can be found in the Missions Depot. For those who have run out of OFP missions, we're going to release recently recovered OFP missions: Golden Oldies - top notch missions.

Golden Oldie

Mike_Beil was the spark for this major operation in which most of the Missions Depot Staff is participating. The goal is to bring back most, if not all, the OFP missions and corresponding reviews that were lost. Retrieving the reviews isn't hard due to the waybackmachine - the mission files are a lot harder as most of them were only hosted on OFPEC.com. If you have an OFP mission, lost in the crash and therefore not hosted on OFPEC, we will gladly host it in the Missions Depot. Should you have an OFP mission ready for review or beta testing, please post it in the OFP Beta Board.

Now, what this is all about. The Golden Oldies. Every part of the Golden Oldies will consist of two missions being added to the Missions Depot - weekly! That is two missions having recieved an OFPEC review with a high score. We are currently preparing all the 8-10 scoring missions for revival. Over to this week's pack of two.

The Big Push by Ian Murrin. Score: 8. Tagline: The Eastern Soviet Front Line has weakened. You must punch through and seize control of the russian supply line. You are in command of a coordinated 3 pronged attack in which you must advance on Chotain village, capture & hold then once secured destroy the nearby Fuel depot.

Swordfish III by [EAP]KING 6 (modified by Avon Lady for v1.30, thanks W0lle) Score: 10. Tagline: MEC 2004 Top 10 mission. Winner of the Public vote! Find a downed chopper. NOTE: score is not the verdict of the reviewer. It is a rating given as MEC 2004 Top 10 mission.

Both missions will keep you entertained for a while, hopefully until next week's pack of two! Until then, feel free to help us with retrieving any lost missions - especially those with high scores on OFPEC - as we are working on those too. Do you have new OFP missions? Don't be shy and share them with others in the OFP Beta Board.
