Intel Depot

The sharper-eyed among you will have noticed the appearance of stars around the site recently, here on the frontpage and now in the Editors and Missions Depots. This is the new User Rating system which enables you to assign 1-5 stars to the resources on the site according to how helpful you find them.

The Rating shown is the average of all votes cast - hover over the image to see how many people have rated any given resource. In due course we'll add the ability to filter resource lists according to their user rating, but for now get clicking!

The OFPEC Tags database is back online! There is a bit of a new look and in the backend changes were made to make the system more reliable. The most notable change is the addition of addon signature keys. Feel free to add your public key!

We have received a couple of requests for transfer of ownership of tags, those will be done very soon, if you wish to transfer ownership then drop one of the OFPEC admins a pm.

We also have 131 tags with incomplete or missing registration information. We're not sure what to do about these tags, but we're not going to delete them straight away. If your tag is in this list, please contact one of the admins and claim your tag.

Any issues for the OFPEC Tags database should be posted in this topic. 

The results are in!

OFPEC received 16 entries to the setPos Competition, and a good job was done by all! Of the 16 entries, there were 6 that achieved really high scores from our judges. All the bases were well thought out and it's pretty evident that a lot of time was spent on each and every one!

OFPEC is announcing the start of the setPos Template Competition!

The idea is simple, create a base using standard Armed Assault and submit it to OFPEC and win! Submit as many as you want! What's at stake? Idea Games has generously donated two Sprocket copies of Bohemia Interactive's Armed Assault and two copies of Queens Gambit, the expansion pack for Armed Assault!

Intel Depot

The Intel Depot has been working hard to raise OFPEC's stature in the Community.

The current setPos contest was created to give something back to the Community. Staffers came with a simple contest where anyone can participate making it easy for anyone to win!

Recent interviews by some well respected people in the Community have proven very popular among frequent users of OFPEC. If you want to hear from someone in particular send a PM to Hoz.

Editors Depot

One of the most popular reasons people visit OFPEC is for our collection of editing resources! OFPEC started keeping track of popular downloads a little over 2 months ago and in that time OFPEC is proud to have served the Community with over 26,000 editing resource downloads.

6 out of the top 10 downloads are for tutorials! OFPEC needs some help in this area and we're looking for any tutorials, references and scripts on any subject! How can you help? If you've seen a useful resource or created a resource yourself then we would like to host it in the Editors Depot! Add your resource to the Editors Depot forum now!

Missions Depot

With over 7000 mission downloads, the Missions Depot is humming along nicely. It is a pleasure to see that our unique mission reviews are attracting so many visitors! Recently we have added the ability for users to comment on the mission reviews, so if you've enjoyed a mission hosted in the OFPEC Missions Depot, let the author know!

We are somewhat lacking in the multiplayer mission area, the age-old problem. If you can help us turn this around, get in touch with Cheetah.

As always, the OFPEC Missions Depot tries to ensure a steady output of reviews. To keep the Depot going we need well motivated and skilled reviewers to work in the Missions Depot. Due to good performance on the beta testing board, mathias_eichinger joined the Missions Depot and will publish his first review soon!

Anyone who enjoys playing missions is encouraged to help beta testing in the ArmA and/or OFP beta board. If you have the ambition to join the Missions Depot, participate in beta testing as doing good in the beta boards is the way to get an invitation for the OFPEC Missions Depot!

Don't forget to add missions to the beta board, which will get beta tested and when ready reviewed by the skilled reviewers. Hopefully, we will see you drop by soon!

Coding Team

The coding team has been busy upgrading bits and pieces of OFPEC. Some changes are quite visible such as the recent listings on the right, the return of a proper Editors Depot and Missions Depot download system, OFPEC Tag database system, and the Experts for Hire experiment (which is fufilling many voice requests!)
